Where we work

The Foundation promotes peacebuilding through a territorial environmental management method that emphasizes environmental protection and sustainable development, focusing on the Colombian Amazon, specifically the department of Guaviare, the areas in and around Chiribiquete National Park, and the middle section of the Putumayo River Basin.

Currently, campesino and indigenous communities living in these areas are faced with the challenge of reconstructing their social fabric which has been damaged by so many years of armed conflict and illicit economies. FCDS works with local actors to encourage dialogue, reconciliation, and the participatory creation of sustainable development alternatives.
