Pedro Botero has fifty-four years of experience in the environmental field, with a focus on the study of landscapes and soils, as a professor at the Inter-American Center for Photointerpretation CIAF – IGAC, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and other public and private institutions.
He has coordinated and directed multidisciplinary research groups for the analysis and mapping of large regions of Colombia and Latin America.
Pedro has retired from the Agustín Codazzi Geographic Institute where he worked as Scientific Technician in the Geography Division.
Since then, he has worked as a consultant for regional analysis projects studying both contemporary and pre-Hispanic land use.
