Arno Ambrosius has more than 40 years of experience in organic agriculture and sustainable development; economic inclusion and employment; human rights and conflict resolution; policy design; institutional planning and organization; and the evaluation, monitoring, and supervision of programs and projects.
Board member of the Territorial Council for Sustainable Development (CTDS) at the National Institute for Rural Development (INDER); the Peninsular Biological Corridor Foundation (CBP); and Agenda Verde, a regional NGO that provides planning and education for sustainable development and the protection of nature.
He has worked for the Netherlands Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS), the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bogotá, the United Nations, the Delegation of the European Union in Bogotá, during which time he has lived in Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, the Philippines, Guatemala, Rome, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
