Lorenzo Vargas is an Agroecological engineer, with a specialization qualification in Amazonian Studies and a Master’s in Sustainable Development and Environment. He has more than 15 years of experience in biodiversity conservation (in National Parks and areas of special management), rural development, implementation of public policies, territorial environmental management, sustainable development projects, environmental planning, plans for rural adaptation and mitigation of climate change, and university teaching. Lorenzo has an excellent track record for managing, coordinating, and building relationships with regional and national environmental authorities, environmental non-governmental organizations, and local organizations and communities.
